RAM Slots 1&3 vs 2&4

When a user wants to add or upgrade RAM in a computer, they need to know how many memory slots are available

the system would NOT post with one stick of ram in slot1- for each of my three sticks BUT does post with all three sticks in slots 1, 3, and 5;
