This command provides information about the active slot from which the device is currently booting user $ fastboot getvar current-slot Dump

Android phones can now have an A and a B partition system for the OS and we can use this fastboot command to check and see which slot is currently active

fastboot get active slot fastboot getvar current-slot current-slot: a finished total time: fastboot --set-active=b fastboot: unknown option -- set-active=b

fastboot set active slot and via fastboot: fastboot getvar current-slot At any time we can switch to the next inactive slot using: fastboot set_active other , or we can use: fastboot
